| The 2nd Annual R-Game for Chair-ity (Chair Hockey Tournament) was held at ROI on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 5 pm. An excellent night with all attending having a great time. The games were played in tournament elimination fashion with 12 teams participating from the northern Illinois area in two indoor rinks with all participants seated in Eurotech Ergohuman office mobile chairs. Many thanks to the local pizza parlors and area businesses that kept all attendees refreshed. The skyboxes were rinkside this year. The evening's events raised over $26,000 in donations and sponsorships to benefit Easter Seals DuPage Fox Valley Region - Positioning & Mobility Clinic. All teams and spectators displayed an outstandingly high level of sportsmanship, enthusiam and grace and a good time was had by all!
The 1st place winners of the 2008 event are: United Parcel Service who called their team "UPS O.N.E.". The members came from their Addison and Rockford facilities to take the championship. They wore team uniforms of brown T-shirts that read "O.N.E." on the front (O.N.E. stands for The UPS team players were: Anthony Haymond, Bill Sollmer, Doug Bella, Eloisa Zarco, Gary Caruana, Harry Cruz, Jason Hladilek, Jeanne Mandoza, Jim Baier, John Price, Michael Kish, and Tony Perrino The 2nd place winners were: Elgin Noon Rotary Club (Elgin, IL). Their team players were: Brian Borkowitcz, Laurie Bitter, Mike McKay, Mike Warren, Randy Brittain, Sarah Hill, and Steve Adams. The best team uniform went to United Engravers (Schaumburg, IL) with their "United NHL" team shirts. Players were: Eric Diehl, Jeanne Price, Jennifer Johnson, Jim Holan, Kathy Brazzale, Lisa Alfonso, Pat McAfee, Peter Cappas, Terry Cappas, and Tom Plate |

time was enjoyed by all. The games were played by 12 teams from the greater Elgin area in two
indoor rinks and all participants were seated in Eurotech Ergohuman office chairs, fueled with ample refreshments and full of team competition and spirit to benefit
Easter Seals DuPage Fox Valley Region - Positioning & Mobility Clinic.
The 1st place winners of this year's event are: C3 Circle (a team of local area business men & women). The players were: Diane Crawford, Sheila Schmidt, Kevin Schmidt, Ryan Dinelli, Jim Rathe, Bill Pierrakeas, Scott Hansen, Jason White The 2nd place winners are Golf Club of Illinois (Algonquin, IL) and 3rd place went to United Engravers (Schaumburg, IL). They also won the team uniform contest with their "Dunder Mifflin Paper Co." shirts. |
