Designed to Thrive: Batory Foods

What happens when a growing food manufacturer brings multiple locations under one roof and challenges the traditional private-office model? A thoughtfully designed, open, and amenity-rich workplace built for the future.

The design not only unified multiple facilities but also optimized workflow and created a space that supports Batory Foods’ evolving business needs and long-term growth. The following highlights explore how thoughtful planning, flexible work areas, and brand-driven design came together to create a workplace that balances collaboration, privacy, and functionality.

The Challenge

Batory Foods faced a unique set of challenges as they prepared to consolidate multiple locations into a single headquarters.

  • Distributed Operations & Workflow Challenges: Operating across several facilities made communication, workflow, and collaboration difficult. Teams were fragmented, and employees lacked consistent access to shared resources.

  • Desire for a Modern, Open Workplace: The company wanted to move away from private offices toward a transparent, technology-driven environment that still offered spaces for focus and privacy.

  • Employee Experience & Culture: Batory Foods aimed to create a workspace that employees would embrace, balancing comfort, functionality, and alignment with the company’s brand.

  • Complex Consolidation: Bringing multiple facilities together under one roof required careful planning and design to ensure a seamless transition that supported ongoing operations.

These challenges presented an opportunity to reimagine how the company’s space could enhance efficiency, collaboration, and workplace satisfaction.

Rieke’s Solution

Rieke Interiors approached the project with a holistic design strategy that addressed both functional needs and cultural aspirations.

  • Open, Flexible Layout: Our team designed a welcoming, open office plan that encouraged collaboration while incorporating private and meeting spaces for focus. Forty percent of the space was dedicated to meeting rooms and private areas, ensuring employees had the flexibility to work in ways that best suited them.

  • Integrated Design Elements: Every material, finish, furniture choice, and decorative accent was selected to reflect Batory Foods’ brand identity, creating a cohesive and visually engaging environment.

  • Technology & Functionality: Tech-driven work areas were seamlessly integrated, supporting modern workflows, connectivity, and collaborative work across teams.

  • Project Management & Execution: From initial space planning to installation, Rieke managed the entire process, ensuring the consolidation of multiple locations was smooth, efficient, and aligned with the client’s goals.

The result is a space that balances openness with privacy, functionality with style, and efficiency with employee satisfaction.

From initial vision to final installation, the transformation of Batory Foods’ space demonstrates how intentional design can shape the way teams connect, collaborate, and thrive.

By aligning thoughtful planning, integrated design, and strategic project management, the new headquarters supports both employees and business objectives, creating a functional and engaging workplace for the future.
