Designed to Thrive – AD Processing Equipment
A workplace should do more than provide a place to work — it should reflect the company behind it. For AD Process Equipment, that meant creating an office environment that felt bold, energetic, and deeply connected to their engineering identity.
When the company relocated into a new 14,000-square-foot facility, they saw an opportunity to transform a large, empty warehouse into something entirely different: a vibrant industrial-modern workplace built for collaboration, movement, and connection. Partnering with Rieke Interiors, the space was reimagined into a dynamic office environment that brings together color, materiality, and intentional design.
The Challenge
AD Process Equipment came to Rieke Interiors with a clear vision — but a challenging starting point.
The new space was a large, open warehouse with minimal interior structure, requiring thoughtful planning to create a workplace that felt both functional and engaging. While the openness provided opportunity, it also meant every zone needed to be intentionally defined without losing connectivity across the office.
The design needed to accomplish several key goals:
Create an industrial-modern workplace with bold, energetic character
Move away from a traditional corporate office aesthetic
Incorporate vibrant colors and layered visual interest throughout the space
Design flexible collaboration areas for teams and company-wide gatherings
Maintain openness while defining purposeful functional zones
Reflect the company’s engineering identity through material and finish selections
Balancing openness with structure — and functionality with visual impact — was essential to shaping the overall experience of the space.
Rieke’s Solution
Rieke Interiors developed a design approach centered on color, connectivity, and industrial-modern detailing to bring the space to life.
The design team focused on:
Vibrant color integration: A bold, energetic palette was introduced and carried throughout the office using seating, wall finishes, lighting fixtures, and accent elements to establish a cohesive visual identity.
Dynamic collaboration zones: Huddle rooms featuring patterned wallcoverings were designed to support quick meetings, creativity, and informal team interaction.
A central town hall space: A large open collaboration area was created to function as both a daily gathering point and a venue for company-wide meetings and events.
Custom ceiling design: A patterned acoustic ceiling inspired by wood beam structures adds warmth, depth, and acoustic performance to the expansive space.
Visual connectivity throughout the office: Decorative screens and repeated pattern elements on glass walls visually connect the reception, open office, and collaboration areas while maintaining openness and transparency.
Industrial-inspired materiality: Metal wallcovering was incorporated into the reception desk and hoteling wall, referencing the machinery and engineering systems central to the company’s work.
A key design move was ensuring visibility and flow — allowing the town hall space to remain visually connected to both the reception and open office, reinforcing openness and collaboration across the workplace.
Led by designer Julie Hartman, the project blends bold expression with intentional workplace planning to create an environment that feels cohesive, functional, and visually engaging.
The Result
The transformation delivers an immediate shift in atmosphere the moment you enter the space. What was once a blank industrial warehouse now feels intentional, energetic, and fully activated through color, texture, and architectural detail.
Each area of the office plays a distinct role — from vibrant huddle rooms designed for focused collaboration to the expansive town hall space that anchors the workplace as a central gathering point. Together, these environments create a seamless flow that supports both individual work and collective interaction.
Rather than feeling like a conventional office, the space reflects how AD Process Equipment operates — collaborative, innovative, and rooted in engineering expertise.

Conclusion
AD Process Equipment’s new workplace demonstrates how thoughtful design can completely redefine an industrial space without losing its authenticity.
By layering bold color, custom architectural features, and intentional material selections into a previously empty warehouse, Rieke Interiors created an environment that is both highly functional and visually expressive. The result is a workplace that strengthens connection, supports collaboration, and reinforces the company’s identity at every touchpoint.
