The Challenge

West Side Tractor recognized that their former office environment was no longer supporting the way their team worked. The space felt cramped, limiting productivity and preventing employees from performing at their best. An abundance of private offices created barriers to communication, making collaboration more difficult and reducing opportunities for team connection.

Beyond functionality, the workspace also struggled to attract new talent. As a company with deep roots and a strong reputation, West Side Tractor wanted a headquarters that reflected their culture, showcased their legacy, and aligned with their evolving brand. The goal was clear: create a modern, efficient environment that supported employees while telling the story of who they are.

Rieke Interiors approached the project with a strategic vision—one that balanced operational needs with brand expression. Through intentional space planning, the team designed custom workstations that improved functionality and supported more efficient workflows. The expanded 30,000-square-foot footprint allowed for the introduction of open areas where employees could collaborate more naturally, while also providing flexibility for future company growth.

To reinforce West Side Tractor’s identity, the design incorporated thoughtful, brand-driven elements throughout the space. The iconic yellow found on the company’s equipment was carefully color-matched, creating a visual connection between the workplace and the products that define their business. Metals reminiscent of their machinery were sourced and used on the custom-built reception desk, establishing a strong first impression for both visitors and employees.

A layered mix of materials—including moss, wall graphics, and acrylic—added texture and dimension while further promoting the company’s culture and story. Every design decision was made with intention, ensuring the space felt authentic to West Side Tractor while elevating the overall workplace experience.

From schematic design and design development to construction management and space planning, Rieke Interiors guided the project from concept to completion, delivering a headquarters that is as functional as it is inspiring.
